Step 1: Getting Started (3-5 minutes)
Just like during your initial qEEG brain assessment, we'll fit you with the Muse headset. This comfortable, non-invasive headset will monitor your brainwave activity throughout the session.
Step 2: Choosing Your Content
You'll watch a video or show of your choice during your training session! We have access to:
- Netflix
- YouTube
Popular content choices include:
- Sports
- Crime shows
- Documentaries
- Educational content
- Entertainment/Comedy
- Nature videos with calming music

Step 3: The Training Process (20 minutes)
How It Works
As you watch your chosen video, you'll notice something interesting happening with the:
- Volume
- Brightness
- Battery indicator on the screen
These elements will automatically adjust based on your brain activity!
What's Happening?
When your target brain frequency goes out of the optimal range:
- The volume will lower
- The brightness will dim
- The battery icon may decrease
When your brain brings the frequency back into the optimal range:
- The volume will increase
- The brightness will return
- The battery will recharge
The Science: Operant Conditioning
This is a learning process called "operant conditioning" — your brain naturally wants to restore the volume and brightness so you can enjoy your video. When your brain adjusts the target frequency back into the optimal range, it's immediately rewarded with better audio and video quality.
Over time, your brain learns to maintain this optimal state more easily, even without the feedback!
This happens automatically and subconsciously — you simply relax and enjoy your content while your brain does the work.
Step 4: Post-Session Discussion (5 minutes)
After your 20-minute training session, we'll take a few minutes to:

✓ Create a list of videos/shows you'd like to watch in future sessions
✓ Answer any questions you may have
✓ Schedule your next appointment
